Finally figured out how to add beveled borders with GIMP! The add-bevel script-fu doesn't quite do what I wanted it to do, as it's bevels are rounded and I wanted a nice straight-edged bevel. After a lot of digging and hunting on the net, I found I could copy the existing add-border script and tweek it a lot. Instead of adding a plain border of a specified color, it uses the current image and adjusts the brightness to four different levels to get the beveled look. This new script-fu for GIMP is available here: add_beveled_borders.scm
